Cooperation Channels
 
The main channels used to develop decentralized cooperation are:
 
a. NGO’s. NGO’s and local or regional government can present or build projects to NGO’s of countries of the North to receive economic or technical support.
 
b. Invitations/Summons. Major’s Offices and regions of many countries as well as private foundations and multilateral bodies constantly open invitations of diverse matters by presenting projects. Local and regional entities can aspire to these invitations.
 
c. Sister Cities. This type of agreement is entered with cities displaying geographic, history, culture, economic or social similarities. Sister Cities can be used to establish mutual cooperation activities.
 
d. Networks. These are associations of experts or of cities which can crate alliances to benefit from their knowledge, receive advice, create additional networks, coordinate and participate in joint projects.
