The task of international cooperation of A.C.I. began since its creation six years ago. Indeed, A.C.I. is a fundamental player in Medellin’s internationalizing process, a city which today clearly knows which are its development challenges and is aware as well of those challenges it can face more effectively with international allies which aid its transformation process.
By managing the cooperation of its partners’ strategic projects, A.C.I. has contributed to include the metropolitan city in the global resources of technical and financial cooperation and to currently have a wide network of allies.
Hence, a series of networks, sister cities, agreements, sponsors, alliances, exchange of experiences and other cooperation-based actions have been made to enable local development, hand-in-hand with international institutions, governments and organizations.
And all of the above tasks have turned A.C.I. into a beacon in the country. Indeed, we are the first decentralized International Cooperation Agency of Colombia.
