A.C.I. (AGENCY OF COOPERATION AND INVESTMENT OF MEDELLIN AND THE METROPOLITAN AREA) is a Colombian association of non-profit public entities and a corporation subject to the provisions established in the Colombian Civil Code as well as the regulations of entities of this type, with its own equity, of common use and social interest.
Applicable Legal Regime. Since A.C.I. is an association of public entities in accordance with article 95 of Law 489 of 1998, it is subject to the provisions established in the Colombian Civil Code as well as the regulation of entities of this type, except in terms of acts, agreements, controls and responsibilities which are base don those of state-owned entities. The applicable labor regime is that of the Substantive Code of Work (Ruling C-671 of 2000 and Legal Opinion 1291 of 2000 of the Consultation and Civil Service Hall of the State Council).
