Edwin Gil presents Nuestra Bandera, Nuestro País, Nuestro Hogar

The Paisa artist will present the final piece of the project at the Iván de Bedout Coliseum. The invitation to the media and general public is for Wednesday, July 21st at 10:00 AM. The location, the Basketball Coliseum at the Atanasio Girardot Sports Unit.
- After two years of touring the world to develop this work with the commitment of thousands of Colombians, the artist shares with his homeland the completion of this artistic contribution to the peace of our country.
- Gil is one of the prestigious members of The Sos Paisa program, from the Red de Antioqueños y Antioqueñas en el Exterior, a program coordinated by the ACI for Medellin Mayor’s Office.
At 10:00 AM, at the Iván de Bedout Basketball Coliseum, Edwin Gil, will present for the first time the general public and the media, the final piece of his project Nuestra bandera, nuestro país, nuestro hogar (Our Flag, Our Country, Our Home); this project took him to travel the world in search of Colombians who wanted to leave their handprint on his canvas, as a symbol of love and commitment for peace in our country.
Just about a month ago, Gil visited Medellin and continued his way to Bogota to collect the last handprints of these Colombians, committed to peace. Now, he has finished his work and wants to present it in our city as another contribution to the celebration after the Bicentennial of our independence.
"This giant flag is our gift to Colombia in such an especial celebration," said the U.S. resident artist, who is also a prestigious member of The Sos Paisa (You’re Paisa) program, from the Red de Antioqueños y Antioqueñas en el Exterior.

Singapore and Korea are getting to know the transformation of Medellin
The Straits Times from Singapore and Joonang Sunday from Korea, published two extensive reports about Colombia. In both reports, Medellin is cited as an amazing, modern, welcoming, and model city in terms of social transformation.
