The Major reports on the transformation of a city the world is getting more interested in

Mayor of Medellin, Alonso Salazar Jaramillo, presented on Thursday, a detailed report of his work as head of the Municipal Administration in the program “In Touch with Alonso”, broadcast live for four hours on Telemedellín; during the program citizenship expressed, by phone and chat, their concerns and views on the transformation progress of the city.
- The entire Municipal Cabinet accompanied Mayor Salazar Jaramillo, during the accountability to the city. Some City Council members were also there. The reporting ran from the Orquideorama at the Botanical Garden.
- From many angles, the Mayor of Medellin revealed the progress of the unstoppable transformation throughout the city.
- Mayor Salazar Jaramillo said that as of December 2010, the investment made by the Municipal Administration amount to $ 7 trillion 33 billion Colombian pesos (COP), which far exceeds the $ 5 trillion 917 billion for social investment, projected for this period.
- Medellin is the only city in the country whose reports are based on a performance management model, which allows measuring, step by step, the progress in commitments to the city.

Mayor of Medellin, Alonso Salazar Jaramillo, presented last night a detailed accountability on his management and reported the progress of the works performed by the Municipal Administration, which are all made with love in order to continue the transformation of the city.
The report of the Mayor Salazar Jaramillo was conducted through a television format on Tellemedellín; the Mayor had the chance to, live, interact with citizens in the program “In Touch with Alonso”.
People from all sectors of Medellin could raise, before Mayor Salazar Jaramillo, specific concerns about the progress of programs and projects performed by the Municipal Administration.
Mayor of Medellin stressed that during his three years of government, social investment reached unprecedented levels, evidence that the Administration is meeting the commitments to the community, especially with those living in the most vulnerable areas of the city.
By December 2010, Medellin will have received a social investment of COP $ 7 trillion 33 billion, which means an increase of $ 1 trillion 116 billion, or 19%, compared to the amount originally scheduled for this period.
It was originally hoped that, by December 2010, the Development Plan to be completed in 75%. Now, the transparent management of public resources and the work of the Municipal Administration team, led by Mayor Salazar Jaramillo, will allow this figure to reach 78%.

Singapore and Korea are getting to know the transformation of Medellin

In both reports, Medellin is cited as an amazing, modern, welcoming, and model city in terms of social transformation.
