  Mayor of Medellin, Alonso Salazar Jaramillo, on Friday signed a cooperation agreement with the Government of the Dominican Republic, with which the city will share experiences with this country in terms of transparency in municipal management, social and environmental planning. Dominican Republic will share its knowledge in tourism with Medellin. The agreement was signed in the Salón de los Cipreses, at El Castillo Museum.

  Del 18 al 26 de enero estuvo en nuestra ciudad un grupo de expertos coreanos de la organización Korea Land and Housing Corporation, que llegó para iniciar las acciones de intercambio tendientes a fortalecer las buenas experiencias de Medellín, en materia de conectividad e innovación tecnológica.

  En medio de un ambiente renovado y abierto el disfrute del espacio público, el 15 de enero el alcalde Alonso Salazar entregó el nuevo Corredor Turístico y Recreativo de la Carrera 70. De esta forma, y gracias a sus nuevas condiciones arquitectónicas, la tradicional vía se convierte en el primer centro comercial a cielo abierto de la ciudad.

  En un gesto de unión a la solidaridad internacional, el Alcalde de Medellín, Alonso Salazar Jaramillo, lanzó una iniciativa humanitaria para que desde Medellín se acopien y se envíen elementos de ayuda que requieren miles de personas afectadas por el terremoto en Haití.

• Friday, January 29, 2010 Primer encuentro Iberoamericano de la Red de asociaciones de Víctimas de la Violencia Vial

  El 5 y 6 de febrero Medellín será sede del 1er Encuentro Iberoamericano de Asociaciones de Víctimas de la Violencia Vial, que el Ministerio del Interior de España viene estimulando teniendo en cuenta que todos los esfuerzos e iniciativas que se puedan concretar con el fin de disminuir la accidentalidad en nuestros países será un aporte de consideración frente a la situación que hoy tenemos.

• Friday, January 29, 2010 Un peruano diseñará la segunda etapa del MAMM de Ciudad del Río

  El arquitecto peruano Manuel de Rivero fue elegido como ganador del Concurso de Ideas para la Segunda Etapa del MAMM, luego de que el jurado identificó en su propuesta la correspondencia con el contexto urbano y el desarrollo a futuro de los predios adyacentes al Museo, y su coherencia con la necesidad de marcar una pauta de intervención y de consolidación de los predios cercanos al Museo; así como el entorno inmediato del Plan de Desarrollo Municipal.
